Fruit Buying Guide – May 2009

The May Fruit Buying Guide highlights some real values on great, fresh fruit. Consider this the fruit edition the “Shop Smart and Save Big” issue that Consumer Reports has out this month. Delicious deals are out there on many varieties of apples, melons, kiwi, strawberries and grapefruit! For those willing to splurge a bit, May offers the Apache apricot and Tasty Rich aprium. These are both fantastic, a shocker to start the summer fruit season with fruit sooo good. Tropical Fruit Salsa

1 medium pineapple, peeled and diced 4 ripe kiwi, peeled and diced 1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and chopped Juice of 1 lime 2 Tbsp Fresh cilantro, chopped
